Twenty minutes after No. 5 Hidden Valley’s 65-63 overtime win at fourth-seeded Bassett in the first round of the Region IV, Division 4 playoffs, guards DeAndre Kellam, Daniel Martin and the rest of the Bengals' locker room remained in quiet disbelief.

Quiet in that they were disappointed their season had ended.

In disbelief at the way Hidden Valley did it.

Titan guard Daniel Rowe made a spinning, contested and off-balance 3-pointer with two seconds to play in regulation to send the game to overtime, and, in case that wasn’t enough, he made the game-winning free throws with 19 seconds to go in the extra period.

Burks came up short on her layup attempt, and Bassett’s girls basketball team managed to hold on the rest of the way for a 48-42 victory in the first round of the Region IV, Division 4 playoffs on Tuesday at Bassett.
